What is Anxiety?

Anxiety is a lesser form of fear. Anxiety and fear are both natural processes that occur when you are using your own Left Brain. Your Left Brain is designed to keep you safe so an intregal part of the Left Brain's computations is the ability to feel fear.

What if you are safe? Is anxiety serving you then? Of course not. So as soon as you feel anxious, check to be sure you are safe, then switch your attention to your Right Brain. Your Right Brain can produce joy, bliss, contentment, love, and a few other pleasurable states, but it does not DO fear, nor anxiety.

How do you switch brains? Put your attention inside your body and keep it there for 90 seconds. This gives all your fear time to drain out. Then check to see what your emotional state is. Do not believe me. Check this out for yourself. Over time, you can learn to balance the use of both your brains. At first, you may need to deliberately switch. Try it. It's fun.

You've been carrying your Right Brain around all your life. It's time you learned to use it. Erase anxiety. Anxiety is usually not useful.
